As of this week, the Japanese brand Winmax will be available on the European market. Winmax brake pads are market leader in Japan and will now, with the creation of Winmax Europe, supply the European customers with high-standard products.
Winmax produces since 1960 high quality brake pads for motorsport and standard cars. In Japan, Winmax is one of the most famous suppliers of brake pads for motorsport. For standard cars, Winmax is in Japan undeniably the absolute nr. 1 on the market.
Winmax Europe, based in Belgium, will develop a strong network of dealers. Each dealer will be responsible for the distribition of Winmax brake pads on the local market. In a first phase, Winmax Europe will focus on motorsport customers, going from rally and circuit over rallycross and offroad.
The past months, some very successful tests have been realised with the Winmax brake pads on different cars. This went from specific brake tests over the use of the brake pads in different competitions. They have been thoroughly tested on a Ford Fiesta S2000, a Subaru Impreza Gr. N and even on a Skoda Fabia R2.
On circuit, they have been used on a Mazda's MX5 during a 24 hours' contest and during a test with a Porsche 997 GT3. The results of all tests were extremely positive both on competivity as on reliability and durability.
André Cortinhas, responsible for Winmax Europe: "It is clear that Winmax brake pads have their place on the European motosport market. When we see the popularity in Asia, we are equally convinced that the European pilotes as well, will very soon appreciate the quality. The grip is fantastic but they are also very durable so longtime drives are possible. On top of that, they don't damage the brake discs which makes the Winmax brake pads extremely user- and budget friendly."
